If you’ve ever swapped out heating lamps in a PET blowing machine, you know it’s not as simple as just matching the wattage. It’s a bit more finicky than that. You don’t want to find out the hard way that your wires can’t handle the current. Build and fit We use quartz glass with special coatings to tune the wavelength. The goal here is to get the heat into the PET wall, not just scorch the outside. Now, let’s talk about the connectors. They’re usually the first thing to break. We use standard R7s and SK15 interfaces so they actually fit tight. It’s a true drop-in. No hacking at the lamp holders, no rewiring the oven. Just plug it in and get back to work. A few things to watch out for Because these match the original Sidel dimensions, you’ll save a ton of time on the install. But here’s the catch: the Matrix series has very tight tolerances. If a lamp is off by even a few millimeters, you’ll get hot spots on your preform. It’s designed to be plug-and-play, but tell your techs to double-check the alignment. It’s the only way to keep the tubes from burning out early. Also, make sure your venting is clear. These high-output radiators put off a lot of ambient heat, and that air needs a place to go.
