If you’re chasing a very specific temperature, your heater is turning on and off thousands of times. These ceramics can handle that constant cycling without cracking under the pressure. The honest trade-offs Look, nothing is perfect. Ceramic heaters aren’t instant. If you’re used to quartz or halogen lamps that heat up in seconds, this will feel slow. You’ll need to start your preheat a bit earlier. Just bake it into your morning routine. One more thing: don’t cheap out on the wiring. If you hook these up to a basic relay, you’re going to fry the switch. Get a solid-state relay (SSR). It handles the rapid clicking much better and keeps everything from melting down.
