If you’ve worked with a KOSME KSB 4000, you know the struggle. You need the PET preforms soft enough to blow, but if you push it too hard, you end up with scorched plastic or crystallization. The heat side of things We use high-wattage halogen filaments to push heat into a shortwave spectrum. In plain English? The heat hits the PET wall fast and penetrates deep. You get your heat-up times down, which keeps the line moving. Now, a quick heads-up: these are built for the rough voltage swings you find in most plants, but please, keep your power supply stable. If the power jumps around too much, you’ll burn through filaments way faster than you should. Built to take a beating Rapid cycling is brutal on glass. To stop them from cracking under the pressure, we use high-purity quartz. We also stick to R7s or SK15 connectors. We do this so you can just wire them in and get back to work without having to modify your sockets. Some of our lamps even come with a special coating that bounces the heat back toward the preform. It’s a simple trick, but it saves a lot of wasted energy. One thing to watch out for Here is the catch: these lamps put out a massive amount of heat. If your cooling blowers are clogged with dust or just aren’t cutting it, that heat has nowhere to go.
